About the Photographer
My name is Burcu (pronounced Ber-sha) and I have a burning passion for photography. I see photography as a medium for expression, a means of capturing memories, and a delightful challenge. I have been tinkering with cameras since my fingers were old enough to press the shutter button on disposable cameras (my parents quickly graduated me to my own film camera!) and have been working professionally for about a year and a half, providing my services to the public.
I've also worked on the other side of the camera as a model for about four years, giving me an intense knowledge of the extreme awkward and uncomfortableness that can potentially arise in photo shoots. As we work together, whether it's one on one portraiture or large groups at wedding parties, you will feel comfortable and relaxed, resulting in beautiful pictures.
My favorite subjects to photograph are cars and landscapes. I love classic American muscle cars (my first car was a Mustang convertible!), and the mountain landscapes always make me take a step back and remember what life is about. People are a challenging subject (don't get me wrong, I thrive on challenges), as there is no one correct way to approach any one person. The classic angled "headlight" shot works well with just about any car, but try using that on a person and you'll end up with a photo of a person giving you a "What on earth are you doing?!?" look! My motto: Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, chocolate in one hand, drink in the other, thoroughly used up and screaming, "Woo hoo! What a ride!"What kind of photography do you shoot?
